Signing ceremony - Armenian Central Bank subsidiary SMBCS invests in EFSE Armenia Local Currency Facility, Yerevan, Armenia, 6th December 2011

Yerevan, Armenia, 6th December 2011 - The Armenian Central Bank subsidiary Small and Medium Business Credit Support CJSC (SMBCS), signed an investment agreement of EUR 2 million with the EFSE to support the financing of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia. SMBCS made the investment in the Armenia Local Currency Facility, a separate investment window within the EFSE dedicated to promote local currency lending to SMEs in the country.

The agreement was signed on 5 December 2011 in Armenia’s capital Yerevan in the presence of Dr. Klaus Glaubitt, Chairman of the EFSE’s Board of Directors, and Arthur Javadyan, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia.
