Service offering of the EFSE Development Facility

The capacity-building services of the Development Facility of the European Fund for Southeast Europe aim to strengthen the internal capacities and operations of the Fund’s partner lending institutions. This results into greater outreach to EFSE’s target group of micro and small enterprises and low-income private households, as well as into enhanced product and service offerings, increased efficiencies and enhanced portfolio quality.

The assistance organised and co-financed by the EFSE Development Facility focuses on the following key areas and processes in the partner lending institutions:

• strategy and business planning,
• risk management,
• financial management and controlling,
• management information systems,
• efficiency and cost management,
• internal audit and internal control,
• product development,
• downscaling,
• sales and marketing, and
• responsible finance and client education.
