EFSE provides additional funding to develop small business sector in Southeast Europe
EFSE announced loan agreements with six Southeast European financial institutions today during its Annual Meeting in Ohrid, FYR Macedonia. These institutions are Armenia’s Converse Bank, Azerbaijan’s Bank Respublika, Belarus’ Belgazprombank and Belarussian Bank for Small Business, Serbia’s Komercijalna Banka and Montenegro’s NLB Montenegrobanka.

EFSE reconfirms support for small business in Southeast Europe including in FYR Macedonia
EFSE reconfirmed the support it would give to small business in Southeast Europe, including FYR Macedonia, at a press conference held in Skopje, FYR Macedonia on May 26, 2010. The conference came in preparation for the Fund’s Annual Meeting to be held from June 8-10, 2010 in Ohrid, FYR Macedonia.
EFSE announced that, over the next five years, it is prepared to provide an additional EUR 900 million of financing to financial institutions in the region of Southeast Europe, including EUR 60 million in FYR Macedonia, for on-lending. The money is specifically meant to finance scarce long-term loans to small business, in particular to micro and small enterprises, as well as housing improvement loans to low-income private households.
