Empowering youth with financial access, knowledge and skills (Ye! Boost Camp and Pitching Event)
TARGET GROUP: Young entrepreneurs ages 16-30
OBJECTIVE: Support ethical youth entrepreneurship and thus stimulate job creation through the Ye! Programme.
ACTIVITIES AND RESULTS: The programme featured the adaption of the electronic Ye! Platform (country guides, online community, online support and coaching, tools and software, funding opportunities) for Turkey, the implementation of an offline training programme, and a pitching event for the most promising entrepreneurs.
Young social entrepreneurs received a two-and-a-half days of intense training to guide them through business and financial modelling and help them develop their business ideas. Following the training, the most promising entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to a jury of experts from different sectors, including impact entrepreneurship, banking, media, and technology. Personal Gene Lab, a solution that aims to introduce children to science and technology at primary and high schools, won the competition.
