Supporting youth self-employment
TARGET GROUP: Entrepreneurs aged below 30 years, and CEPOR as a provider of services to them.
OBJECTIVE: Support young entrepreneurs their first year of operations with dedicated mentorship and education to improving their success rate.
ACTIVITIES AND RESULTS: The project featured training and mentorship for 20 young entrepreneurs from various business fields. Training topics included business planning and reporting, marketing, sales, presentation and negotiation skills, digital marketing, the challenges of running a family business, franchising, and how to prepare financial reporting. In total, 15 workshops focussed on strategy, marketing, finance, negotiation and operations, and experience in running entrepreneurial projects; more than 180 mentoring sessions also took place. The mentors, either business professionals or young, successful entrepreneurs, advised participants and prepared a promotional event to raise the visibility of individual businesses.
