This notice describes how we, jointly Finance in Motion GmbH ("FiM"), the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) and the EFSE Development Facility also referred to by “Us” or “Our”, collect and process Personal Data about you (our “Counterpart”) when you fill in the form to apply for access to Euromoney Learning on-demand online platform for finance professionals.

Purpose of processing

We process your personal information for the purpose of conducting an applications selection process. 

Categories of Personal Information Processed

We may collect any of the categories of Personal Data below that you submit via the application form. These categories are:  

• Name, date of birth, gender
• Personal contact information like email address.
• Information about past and present residency. 
• Education, professional experiences, and qualifications 
• Employment status, employment details, employer details, employment outlook 
• Professional interests 
• Information about your motivation 
• Information about the current life situation (refugee, internally displaced, etc.) 

Lawful Basis

We collect and process your Personal Data in accordance with paragraph 6 (1) (b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

Categories of Recipients

The Personal Data processed by Us, may be shared with business organizations (“recipients”) that support Us in the fulfillment of the abovementioned purposes. These recipients are only permitted to use the Personal Data for the lawful purposes described. 

The categories of recipients include the following service providers: 

• Partner Institutions of the Fund and its Technical Assistance Facility 
• Banks, tax accountants, and auditors 
• Accounting and Payment processing System 
• Government authorities including finance and tax offices

Period

We aim to provide Our counterpart with the highest standard of transparency when retaining Personal Data. Therefore, with the applicable laws, we will retain Personal Data of selected participants for the duration of the program. Personal Data of not selected participants will be deleted 30 days after eligible applicants have been chosen and notified.  

Your Rights

You may, in accordance with applicable data protection law,  

• request information about the data processed about you, obtain a copy of such data, and have inaccurate data rectified or completed; 
• have your personal data erased or its processing restricted, each to the extent one of the grounds provided for by statutory law applies; 
• receive the personal data you provided to us under contract or consent in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, to the extent the statutory requirements are fulfilled; 
• object, for reasons relating to your particular situation and in accordance with applicable law, to any of our legitimate interest based processing of your personal data; and  
• withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. 
• Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority for the state of Hessen. This is “The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information” (https://datenschutz.hessen.de) 

Sources of Personal Data

We gather Personal Data from You directly. We may also gather some personal data elements from government offices.

Finance in Motion is a licensed asset manager according to German Capital Investment Code (Kapitalanlagegesetz) and is supervised by the German federal financial supervisory agency (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht, BaFin).
