Press conference - EFSE Annual Meeting 2013

At the press conference held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 June 2013, Monika Beck, Chair of the Board of Directors, Kemal Kozarić, Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sylvia Wisniwski, Managing Director of the EFSE Fund adviser, Finance in Motion, answered the questions of almost 20 national and international journalists.

“With the annual meeting taking place in Sarajevo, EFSE is returning to its roots”, explained Monika Beck. “Bosnia and Herzegovina accounts for 14 per cent of outstanding investments for EFSE, so we not only have a long-standing history with this country, but our investment here is the second largest of any country in which we invest.” Governor Kozarić commented at the press conference on the success of EFSE in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially when it comes to the supply of credit facilities to micro and small enterprises. “For the positive economic development of our country, it is essential that clients and banks become partners. Banks need clients and clients need banks.” “Strong partner, strong impact” was also the theme of the seventh annual meeting of the Fund, emphasizing the multiple dependencies between the stakeholders of the Fund such as end-borrowers, partner lending institutions and investors.
