Signing ceremony - Armenian Central Bank subsidiary SMBCS invests in EFSE Armenia Local Currency Facility

The Armenian Central Bank subsidiary Small and Medium Business Credit Support CJSC (SMBCS), signed an investment agreement of EUR 2 million with the EFSE to support the financing of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia. SMBCS made the investment in the Armenia Local Currency Facility, a separate investment window within the EFSE dedicated to promote local currency lending to SMEs in the country.

The agreement was signed on 5 December 2011 in Armenia’s capital Yerevan in the presence of Dr. Klaus Glaubitt, Chairman of the EFSE’s Board of Directors, and Arthur Javadyan, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia.
