EFSE DF workshop on mobile banking in cooperation with the Association of Serbian Banks
The Association of Serbian Banks is a professional organisation which aims to strengthen the Serbian financial sector. All banks currently operating in Serbia are members of the Association. The EFSE DF organised and sponsored a workshop on mobile financial services in cooperation with the Association. 35 representatives of 15 institutions (mainly commercial banks, but also the national bank, mobile operators, and software provider) participated in the workshop.
The workshop centred on the processes and challenges a financial institution must deal with when introducing alternative delivery channels. The participants were presented with different business models, policy trends and new developments in mobile financial technologies and security, as well as international case studies of financial institutions relevant for the Serbian context that successfully embraced mobile financial services.
