Belgrade, 20 October 2025 – The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) has partnered with Halkbank a.d. Beograd, signing a loan agreement of EUR 8 million. This long-term financing will enable Halkbank to expand its agricultural lending portfolio, providing dedicated support to businesses investing in sustainable agriculture practices.
By supporting adoption of efficient and sustainable farming methods, EFSE is proudly supporting local farmers to become more adaptable, competitive, and resilient. The collaboration aims to strengthen the agricultural sector in Serbia, promoting environmental sustainability and economic growth.
Through additional advisory and capacity building, Halkbank will be supported in strengthening its capability to promote and finance sustainable farming practices, helping clients transition to greener operations.
