EFSE Entrepreneurship Academy Supports TBC Regional Business Forums in Georgia

Tskhaltubo, 20 April 2019 – On April 20, Georgia’s TBC Bank organized a regional Business Forum with the support of the EFSE Development Facility under its Entrepreneurship Academy.
The event was part of a series of large business forums held by TBC Bank throughout Georgia. The aim is to provide non-financial services to startups and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to develop their business capacity in a responsible and sustainable manner as well as to contribute to entrepreneurial culture in the country. The forum also provides information on the business environment and current approaches of business management and facilitates networking and exchange among MSMEs.

Held in Tskhaltubo, Imereti Region, the April 20 Business Forum attracted around 300 representatives of the region’s MSMEs. EFSE was represented by Ivane Lekvtadze and Natia Kalatozishvili, members of the Investment Management team at EFSE Development Facility manager Finance in Motion. Ivane Lekvtadze’s introductory speech highlighted the strategic partnership between the EFSE DF and TBC bank, emphasizing the importance of business development in the country.

The forum comprised two parts: presentations on relevant business topics and workshops focusing on key business sectors relevant for that region. Topics covered business support state programs, modern trends in business, corporate culture and motivation, tax news, social media management, hotel management, new technologies, and finances.

The EFSE Entrepreneurship Academy plans to support three more events in the TBC Business Forum series, to be held in other regions of Georgia throughout the year.
